The main components of the solution are:

Classic planning/budgeting interface where you work with any relevant dimensions and measures, such as accounts, departments, products and customers.
Management modules for managing plan versions, settings, user permissions and workflow.
Driver module where you define the drivers behind the differenct revenue and cost items.

EFFECTIVEPLANNING has
two interfaces:

Web interface for entering and analyzing data
Excel interface for entering and anlyzing data
(for on-premise installation only).

EFFECTIVEPLANNING is a cloud solution hosted on our servers, but may also be hosted on premise or elsewhere if required.
Services

We offer two hours of online assistance with setting up your modules and loading your data. Additional assistance and services are priced at USD 60 per hour. If required we offer fixed service packages upon request.

Dimensions and measures

EFFECTIVEPLANNING is structured by modules, dimensions and measures. Each module has its own set of dimensions and measures. The number of modules is unlimited. Each module can have as many dimensions and measures as needed.

The modules, dimensions, hierarchies and measures are defined when the solution is set up. Its flexibility means the solution can be used for any area of planning and budgeting.

Built in Calculations

EFFECTIVEPLANNING has a built-in calculation rules functionality that is used for updating data between modules and for handling specific user-defined calculation rules, such as driver-based calculations.

Pre Define Templates

EFFECTIVEPLANNING currently offers two basic predefined templates, one for sales planning and another for finance planning. More templates will be added over time. The predefined templates can easily be modified to fit specific client needs. If a template does not suit your needs you can easily build custom modules.

With EFFECTIVEPLANNING it is easy to load historical data for reference and to build plans and budgets based on historical data.

Calculated Measures

EEFFECTIVEPLANNING does not limit you to working at lowest level or only working with base measures like quantity and unit prices. You can work at any level in the hierarchy and you can make changes to calculated measures and let the application spread out your entries automatically. This means you can plan your sales by adjusting revenue and gross margin percentage by product category, market or customer group, as an example. EFFECTIVEPLANNING also allows you to load your own data directly from spreadsheets, using a very simple and quick process.
